At Whitsunday Escape, we understand that staying connected is more important than ever, whether it’s for catching up on work, submitting an assignment or keeping an eye on the sports league.

For those who don’t have the luxury of ‘getting off grid’ for a week, we’re now offering the hire of portable Starlink units, ensuring you can access high-speed internet while enjoying your charter.

What is Starlink?

Starlink is the world’s largest satellite constellation, using a low Earth orbit to provide broadband internet, capable of supporting everything from video calls to streaming and browsing. This technology allows our guests to enjoy high-speed internet access in one of the most beautiful, remote areas on earth – the Whitsundays.

How Does It Work?

The Starlink unit needs a clear, unobstructed view of the sky to function and can only be used while your boat is stationary. The portable units come with set up info and are provided to you at check in. It is important to test the unit prior to departure. The unit then needs to be returned at the end of your charter.

Important Information

While we offer Starlink units to enhance your experience, please note that Whitsunday Escape cannot guarantee an uninterrupted service due to potential satellite signal interference and the remote nature of the Whitsundays. However, with the right conditions, you’ll have access to dependable internet throughout your bareboat charter.
