Excitement builds for Hamilton Island Race Week
The excitement is building in the lead up to Hamilton Island Race Week.
With races beginning on the 17th August 2019 – spectators and yachties from around the globe sail to Hamilton Island for Australia’s largest offshore keelboat regatta.
Hamilton Island Race Week is one of Australia’s favourite yachting events and a firm fixture on the international sailing calendar and boasts an array of on-water and off-water events.
ONSHORE EVENTS
The Hamilton Island Race Week isn’t only for those participating in the sailing races, there is an array of off-water activities for the sailors, the spectators and the visitors to Hamilton Island.
There are daily race presentations, pop up stalls for food, jewelry & apparel as well as special events such as the Wild Oats Long Lunch, Robert Oatley Wines Dinner, Charles Heidsieck Champagne Lunch, Surf & Turf Dinner.
Bareboat access during Hamilton Island Race Week
During the Hamilton Island Race Week, bareboat access is restricted.
Hamilton Island Marina usually allows shorter berthing periods (hour blocks) while the day races are in progress which allows you to use the amenities. This is a good chance to refill water tanks and re-stock on fresh provisions if required.
